The second part, pages 585-786, comprise ten sections of "research aids" including seven annotated checklists of secondary sources (a total of 552 entries) and other material, one section compiled by Muriel Rogow Becker, two by Hal W. Hall (one in collaboration with Barron), the remainder by Barron. This is the best edition for foreign language fiction, which was dropped from later editions.
