OCLC lists the 1973 edition as the first but his copy of Thoughts in Rhyme was that which was "Lovingly Dedicated to my parents Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Waldo Emerson Deck, for their Golden Wedding Anniversary, May 22, 1960" This was privately printed, probably in a very small quantity as gifts for those in attendence. The copyright on the title page is 1960 and it is signed by Lois Oakes. Laid in is a small poem by "The Gift of Friendship" by and signed Una May Ruhl. A wonderful example of a local Ohio poet.
