8°, OBrosch. 107 S. Mit 3 Textabb. u. 11 (3 herausklappbaren) Tafeln. Ernst Ohlmer (1847 Betheln - 1927 Hildesheim) war ein deutscher Zollangestellter, zuletzt Seezolldirektor in Tsingtau. Er wurde 1872 Privatsekretär von Robert Hart, der von 1861 bis 1911 Generalinspekteur des chinesischen Seezolls war. Von 1887 bis 1898 diente Ohlmer als Zolldirektor in verschiedenen Städten, so etwa in Beihai (Pakhoi), Foshan, Peking, Macau und Yichang. Und wurde dann Seezolldirektor in Tsingtau. Seine bedeutende Sammlung chinesischen Porzellans, Fotografien und anderer Objekte vermachte er dem Roemer- und Pelizaeus-Museum. - Umschlag etwas fleckig und lose sowie mit kl. Randläsuren, die letzten 4 Tafeln lose, Tafeln minimal gebräunt, sonst gut erhalten. Sprache: Deutsch.
