Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - 'Crudel tiranno Amor' (HWV 97) ist der Titel des Werks, das Händel 1721 komponierte und von dem er 1738 eine zweite Fassung mit veränderter Besetzung schrieb. Die aus drei Arien und zwei Rezitativen bestehende Kantate war ursprünglich für Sopran, zwei Oboen, Streicher und Generalbass komponiert. Von der späteren Fassung, in der Händel auch Änderungen in der Tonart und der Melodie vornahm und reichere Verzierungen hinzufügte, war bislang nichts bekannt. Ihre Handschrift tauchte in München auf. Bedeutsam ist sie deshalb, weil es sich um die einzige Handschrift handelt, die in einem Rezitativ eine eigenhändige Aussetzung des Basso continuo durch den Komponisten enthält, das sich zudem noch durch eine außergewöhnliche Klangfülle auszeichnet. Die Kantate erschien in einer hochwertigen Faksimile-Ausgabe und, zusammen mit dem Aufführungsmaterial, zugleich als praktische Ausgabe.Die Erstausgabe wurde betreut vom Bertold Over, dem Finder der Quelle, dem die Zuordnung innerhalb eines Konvoluts aus dem Nachlass Wilhelm Heinrich Riehls gelang.- Erstausgabe des spektakulären Quellenfunds in der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek- Hochwertige Faksimile-Ausgabe mit Transkription- Wissenschaftliche Einleitung des Entdeckers.
