Its existence and the date and place of their elopement remained unknown until this document was found recently among old records. Heretofor the circumstances were a mystery". Obtained at the Betsy Ross house as evidenced by its (non personalized) plate on the front end paper.; "Here, for the first time, is the true story of the maker of the first American flag. Also includes the scarce printed wraparound band AND the publisher's original pictorial box, which is completely sturdy and very presentable. Octavo, nicely illustrated throughout by J.L.G. Ferris and Edwin John Prittie.
