Over 80 railways were discovered and many engines were found to be used by more than one company by tracing the pictures. It is a "narrow gauge genealogy." Laid in is a LETTER FROM THE AUTHOR that states this was printed in an edition of only 500 copies. Also included is a type-written errata sheet listing one error.
