The copyright page contains the Harper Cod "I-X," indicating publication in September 1948. Two previous owners have left their marking: one in the form of a book plate on the interior cover, the other in the form of a small gift inscription on the front free endpaper. The second has also taped in a small piece of paper containing Bradford's signature. Signed.
