Sentenced June 22, 1931, at Minneapolis, Minn., for mail fraud to 2 years and 6 months in Leavenworth Prison. Wife Mabel and daughter Emily resided at 5408 Kenwood Ave., Chicago, Ill. Brother-in-law Walter Sturn, R. R. 1, Wichita, Kansas. CHARLES FIGART. Age about 35; Jewish descent; native of Cleveland, Ohio; son of Mrs. Evelyn Hughes who operates a real estate business at 1739 East 115th Street, Cleveland, Ohio. Associates with gamblers and short change experts. Last known connection was with Morris Lehman, alias Morris Lober, operating as Midwest Refunding Company, Kansas City, Mo., and trafficking in tobacco warehouse receipts and cemetery lots. GEO. C. ALTMAN. Jewish descent; said to be brother-in-law of Otto Schechtel of Chicago, Illinois. High pressure salesman and reloader. Last reported in New York City. Salesman in shingle racket at Milwaukee, Wisconsin during June 1939.JOHN (JACK) VON ELGORT. Resident of Chicago, Illinois; separated from wife, Irene, who has small child. His parents are said to be residents of Los Angeles or vicinity, and he spends some time there. LUTHER B. WOODRUFF. Age about 65; 5 ft. 11 in.; white hair; ministerial appearance; said to have been ordained as a Baptist minister. During 1935 resided at The Windsor, Apartment 402, 4209 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, Mo. Said to claim Lexington, Ky.; as his permanent residence but unknown there. Late report indicates that he may be confined in either the Nebraska or the Iowa State Penitentiary. S. J. (JOHN) HAMILTON.
