Prather by The Albertype Company of Brooklyn, NY, Unpaginated (Approximately 100 pages of which 50 are plates) Original owner took this First Edition and had it rebound in a rich and sm…ooth-grained Dark Brown cloth (looks a little like leather itself). The binder managed to save what was left of the original thin leather front cover and attach it to the new boards and added new fonts for the two words missing. See Photos to come. It was done very nicely. No previous owner markings - all pages are clean, unmarked and are tanned but there is some minor chipping to the endpapers and the first few pages. All edges gilt (AEG). The endpapers are original and have been reinforced with black cloth tape. Overall it is Very Good to Very Good+ on the inside. Filled with many B&W plates of Alaska and Northwest Views, Including Totems, Glaciers, the Great Treadwell Mine and more. Very Scarce. No copies in any libraries and only one other copy online.
