Commissioned on July 1, 1968, the Naval Training Center, Orlando, Florida was established to enhance the manpower training capabilities of the United States Navy. It is not coincidential that it was established during the height of the Vietnam War, which saw a significant increase in the membership of the Arms Forces. This training facility occupied the site of the former Orlando Air Force Base. Women began training in Orlando in 1972. This was published in 1980. This version is specific to Traning Unit 3105 which spent June 1980 to August 1980 at the training facility. Very good. No dust jacket as issued. Three photographs laid in (two of formation, one of three female trainees).
