A l'époque ce mode d'expression en vers est courant , aussi bien en France qu'en Allemagne. Il s'agit d'un exercice de style fort à la mode et les journaux en publient régulièrement. Difficile de mieux caractériser ce recueil que le fait le Sous-Secrétaire d'Etat de l'époque Albert Dalimier ! C'est "une oeuvre de saine propagande ." La couverture épique de L.
