Soft cover. Zustand: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 8vo, printed wrappers, 23pp. The author was distinguished in his writings, publishing ventures, California journalism, engineering for a while, and, eventually, in the annals of American Anglican church history, never, however, attaining a modicum of financial security. His notable sermons - the present being a typical example - tended to provoke controversy and debate, although his candid honesty and fairness in principle always served him well. An admirable profile appears in ANB 7: pp. 642-643. This, a Very Good copy.
