The outer edge of the jacket is creased and on its verso there's a small damp stain on the spine's tail; there's an ownership signature and gift inscription on front end paper; the back end paper has a minor loss to the lower, outer edge and all the end papers are very lightly damp damaged, but not stained. Well researched history of the Catholic Church from it's beginnings in the colony. Greatest attention is given to the period between 1850-1875. A really interesting section on inner Melbourne suburbs.
