Son of "It Was A Dark and Stormy Night", the 1986 Installment of the Bulwer-Lytton Contest, compiled by Scott Rice. 12mo, illustrated perfect-bound wraps, xi + 2 + 125 pp. + entry info + ads. Fine; quite pristine but for several small, faint paper-spots at lower left of the about-the-compiler page. See scans. More hilarious examples of (intentionally) horribly-written opening passages from hypothetical fiction, after the fashion of the man who started it all in 1830, Edward Bulwer-Lytton, in 'Paul Clifford'. He wasn't having a bad-book year; it's really how he wrote. A very nicely preserved example, if you want to collect the whole series. Who knows - you may become.inspired. See scans. L14n.
