Soft cover. Zustand: Very Good. 1st Edition. First edition of an early and influential modern price guide in the field of doll collecting, documenting market values and identifying characteristics for dolls ranging from early composition examples through mid-century vinyl. Compiled by Marlene Leuzzi with Fern Loiacono and Robert J. Kershner, this work reflects the rapid professionalization of doll collecting in the early 1970s, when standardized pricing references were still scarce. The volume is illustrated throughout in black and white, with photographed examples drawn from both private and authors' collections. Entries provide concise physical descriptions including materials, markings, dimensions, manufacturers, and original outfits paired with contemporary valuation data that offers collectors and researchers a valuable snapshot of the period market. Notable subjects include Ideal, American Doll & Toy Co., Disney-licensed dolls, Whimsies, and other mid-century collectibles. This copy is clean and complete, with bright interior pages and strong binding. The covers show light age-appropriate wear consistent with careful handling. A solid reference example of a foundational dealer-collector guide, increasingly uncommon in presentable condition. Small previous owner signature on front endpaper; otherwise unmarked.…
