Each plate is protected by a delicate tissue paper page and is clearly hand painted! Individually! Each book must have been made se…parately, what a feat. The colours are really bright. The edges of the pages are gilded. It has a longer title/description which is delightful "Combined to express pure sentiments, kind feelings, and excellent principles, in a manner at once simple, elegant, and beautiful.".
