Describes the establishment and development of Fairbridge Farm School, near Pinjarra in the south-west. The school was begun by Kingsley Fairbridge and his wife Ruby Fairbridge and opened in 1912. From 1913 to 1982 it was home to a total of 3,580 children who came to Fairbridge under various child migration schemes [some of whom were falsely told they were orphans].

Hardback, with dust wrapper. Brown boards with red lettering on spine. Head and tail of spine lightly bumped and board edges lightly rubbed. Binding is neat and tidy. Page edges are clean, yet uniformly discoloured. Head edge stained red. Tail edge deckled. Some very light discolouration and patches of foxing of pastedowns and free endpaper. This book is in good condition. Dust wrapper has some moderate rubbing and creases at the edges. Thumbing along top and bottom. General discolouration (see images), front and back, moreso at the spine. Some small tears and chips along the edges, yet this dust wrapper is in fair condition. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously; they usually present better than they sound.
