It is the Nouvelle Collection Illustreé ( with No.1 on the lower spine), and the Compositions de E.Rudaux and is presumed to be from the early 1900's. The corners are slightly bumped with a little fraying as are… the top and bottom of the mildly sunned spine. The contents are clean and tight with a very little foxing to the last 2 pages. It is beautifully illustrated throughout, with one colour 'frontispiece'. The five parts of the story which describes the lives of the Breton fishermen who spend each summer fishing for cod in the stormy Icelandic seas. 125pp. E.Rudaux (illustrator).
