This is the first article that the Wright brothers (credited just to Wilbur) published on their experiments in flight, two full years before their success at Kitty Hawk. It was first presented at a Sept 1901 conference and then printed in the Journal of the Western Society of Engineers in December 1901, and was revised for inclusion in the Smithsonian report, and Chanute introduction added.
