Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book delves into the fascinating realm of "The Art of Pluck," a comprehensive treatise on the skillful and strategic pursuit of academic failure. Written in the witty and acerbic style of its time, the author guides students through the intricacies of sabotaging their own education for the coveted prize of being "plucked" in their examinations. Blending historical insights with a tongue-in-cheek approach, the book offers a satirical commentary on the absurdity of blind adherence to educational norms and the mischievous pleasure found in academic rebellion. The author deftly exposes the folly of rote learning, superficial understanding, and the misplaced priorities that often drive students to seek failure. Through amusing anecdotes and clever arguments, this book challenges the conventional wisdom surrounding academic achievement, inviting readers to question the true value of success and the potential rewards of embracing one's inner idler. Ultimately, it serves as a reminder that education should not be solely about attaining external validation but also about cultivating intellectual curiosity and personal growth.
