Paperback. Zustand: New. Print on Demand. This book is a descriptive account of the town of Worthing on the south coast of England. The author has attempted to provide a new and improved account of Worthing since the publication of Evans' Picture of Worthing and its Environs in 1812. The book includes a description of many of the prominent buildings and institutions in Worthing, including the Steyne, the Chapel of Ease, and the Theatre Royal. The author also provides a brief history of the town and the surrounding area, including its geological features and its importance as a seaport. The author argues that cold bathing in the sea is necessary for good health in the variable climate of Britain, and he provides a brief guide to its benefits and how to do it safely. He also describes the history of bathing in Britain, from the time of the Romans to the present day. This book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of Worthing and the surrounding area, or in the therapeutic benefits of cold bathing. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
