Promotional booklet published in connection with the San Diego Exposition, also known as the California Pacific International Exposition, which took place in San Diego from 1935 to 1936. The exposition was held to celebrate the opening of the Panama Canal and to showcase California's history, culture, and industry. Includes and great collection of motor trips pointing out various places of interest in California in the 30's. Also includes articles on the history of Calfiornia, missions, Native Americans, golf, fishing, where movie stars live, grunion tides, and state and national parks. A nice snap shop of California tourism in the '30's.
