Brown illustrated paper covers have a 3/4" square chip at the bottom corner of the front cover and smaller chips and tearing to the corners of the first four pages (but NO text is missing). Light bumping and creasing to edges and corners and light to moderate overall aging and scuffing to covers as well. Binding tight (staple bound). Pages aged but otherwise unmarked. NOT Ex-library. Promotional booklet published in connection with the San Diego Exposition, also known as the California Pacific International Exposition, which took place in San Diego from 1935 to 1936. The exposition was held to celebrate the opening of the Panama Canal and to showcase California's history, culture, and industry. Includes and great collection of motor trips pointing out various places of interest in California in the 30's. Also includes articles on the history of Calfiornia, missions, Native Americans, golf, fishing, where movie stars live, grunion tides, and state and national parks.
