Hardcover. Zustand: As New. 1st Edition. SIGNED on the title page. This wonderfully original UK hardback first edition was deliberately made to look 'tough'. And that's because the book is beautifully filled with refreshingly tough regional American writing. Pollock is a great writer, and this is his first book. The cover boards are thick and bare, and the titling and wording front and back are stamped on in thick black ink. Superb in every way. Signed by Author.…

Hardcover. Zustand: As New. 1st Edition. My father showed me how to hurt a man one August night at the Torch Drive-in when I was seven years old. And that opening sentence is from this superb novel, which is SIGNED on the title page. Not only is this RARE it is also deliberately 'shabby' and decidedly uncouth. The rough cut thick cover boards are bashed deliberately, and the titling and text on the front and back boards are aggressively slapped on in thick black ink. This is a collectable and highly original edition, and it is much scarcer than the US first edition; especially as a SIGNED example. Signed by Author.…

Hardcover. Zustand: New. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: New. 1st Edition. Ultra rare UK First Printing of the First Edition hardback, NEW & UNREAD, with the date '18 July 2013' written above the title, and the author's signature confidently written under the printed name. This book has been received with eulogistic reviews. I have read it and can report that it is among the finest books I've encountered. Stunning evocation of the time and place. Meyer's first book, American Rust, was similarly greeted, but this second novel is extraordinary. This will surely be a major collectable. Perfect unread book, protected jacket, SIGNED and dated. Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Near Fine. 1st Edition. POSSIBLY the only signed copy of the UK first edition. This is signed on the title page. It is clean and tight and the jacket is protected. Two minor faults; there is a former owner's blind stamp, which is very neat, on the half title page, and the jacket is price clipped. But I must emphasise, this is a clean and tight first edition hardback SIGNED by the great poet. Signed by Author. …
