Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Clipped jacket has light edge-wear with minor tears and chipping. Mild rubbing and marking.

A book aimed at 'Mr. Everyman who has to do with steel' (Preface); Simons worked for the Sheffield steel-maker Edgar Allen, editing their newsletter - with Dr Gregory brought in as a collaborator to provide a strengthening surface of technical knowledge.
