Paperback. Zustand: Good. As a result of two recent wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, the U.S. Defense Department has given considerable attention to the issues of intelligence support to military operations. Much less effort has been spent on intelligence support to national security strategy write large and, specifically, support to overarching foreign and defense policy. This anthology, written in cooperation with the Center for Peace and Security Studies, Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, seeks to restore some balance to this debate. The central purpose of the book is to illuminate ways in which U.S. intelligence capabilities can be significantly improved by adjusting policies and practices rather than institutions and structures.
