Novelist and activist Upton (1878-1968) is best known for his influential muckraking novel The Jungle (1906); he also won the Pulitzer Prize for Novels in 1943 for Dragon's Teeth. Mississippi-born Mary Craig Kimbrough Sinclair (1882-1961) was a writer who collaborated with Upton on the early novels Sylvia and Sylvia's Marriage. The book is unmarked; spine slant; corners and spine ends bumped; some wear and staining to the top of the spine.
