Text printed in right margin on front: "Meadville, Pa. St. Louis, Mo.; Copyright 1900, by B. L. Singley." Please note: this stereocard portrays negative stereotypes of black people. This stereocard shows a portrait of two people in blackface and may be a scene from a minstrel show. B. L. Singley (1864-1938) was an American photography businessman who founded the Keystone View Company in 1892. The Keystone View Company was based in Meadville, Pennsylvania and became one of the world's most prominent stereographic companies. Singley had previously worked for another stereographic company, Underwood & Underwood. The Keystone View Company stayed in business until 1972 when Gifford Mast closed its Meadville manufacturing site.

Oblong format: 3-1/2" x 7-1/16" "The Los Angeles Pigeon Farm was located between the Los Angeles River and Verdugo Mountains, in Los Angeles, California. Situated on 8 acres in the Cypress Park and Glassell Park districts, it was centered near the junction of San Fernando Road and Verdugo Road. The farm was established in 1898 by J. Y. Johnson for the production of Squab meat, and in operation until a Los Angeles River flood destroyed it in 1914." [Wiki]. Now housed in an archival mylar sleeve.
