Hardcover. Zustand: new. Hardcover. This book delves deeply into the field of microbial biological control. It is the method in which microbes, predators, and pathogens interact in a complex action to defend crops from damaging pests and diseases. This conventional method, which is frequently eclipsed by modern substitutes, is a cornerstone of sustainable agriculture. In addition to providing a practical way to protect our crops, it also offers a way to preserve the delicate ecosystems' balance while being environmentally benign. This book investigates the use of microbes in sustainable agriculture. It discusses current research and collaborations using helpful bacteria, emphasizing relationships between allies and foes. For disease resistance, emerging technologies like CRISPR/Cas9 and nanotechnology are considered. Market demands for biofertilizers that increase nutritional content and act as eco-friendly insecticides are discussed. Metagenomics, efficient formulations, and soil amendments are amongthe contemporary tools investigated. The volume strongly emphasizes shelf-life extension, biocontrol future trends, and storage, opening the door for creative microbial-based agricultural technologies. This interdisciplinary book is useful for a diverse group of readers including microbiologists, biotechnologists, agronomist, policymakers, university students and those who are interested in the development of strategies for sustainable farming by utilizing microbial communities. Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Stomach targeted or gastro retentive dosage forms are one of the most widely known and accepted forms of oral controlled release drug delivery systems. These systems are designed with an objective to overcome the shortcomings of conventional dosage forms, particularly of short gastric residence time and erratic gastric emptying time.Controlled release Stomach targeted drug delivery system is a promising delivery system for a drug candidate having limited absorption window at lower GIT, drugs those locally release in stomach and shows degradability in colon or poor colonic absorption. Incorporation of the drug in a controlled release gastroretentive dosage forms (CR-GRDF) which can remain in the gastric region for several hours would significantly prolong the gastric residence time of drugs and improve bioavailability, reduce drug waste, and enhance the solubility of drugs that are less soluble in high pH environment. Gastroretention would also facilitate local drug delivery to the stomach and proximal small intestine. Thus, gastroretention could help to provide greater availability of new products and consequently improved therapeutic activity and substantial benefits to patients.

Fruit Microbiome: Emerging Aspects in Postharvest Disease Management covers all areas of microbial ecology and serves as a basis for innovative methods of microbiome engineering and the incorporation of probiotics on fruit nutritional quality. Emphasizing the latest advancements in the fruit microbiome and applications in biocontrol perspectives, the book includes advanced and recent insights into the development of microbial pesticides that will be helpful for those seeking ways to protect and improve plant health and yield protection.Phyto-microbiome plays a crucial role in maintaining the health and productivity of all plants, including fruit plants whose yield contributes to global food security. Fruit also harbors numerous microbial communities as an epiphytes or endophytes, and theses microbes play a vital role in protecting them from pathogen invasion during pre-or- postharvest storage. Further, the development and commercialization of several biocontrol products derived from fruits microbiome have proven relevant in broader plant disease management. This item is printed on demand.
