Le spese furono coperte dal duca, dalle comunità locali, dalle Arti, dalle confraternite, dalla Congregazione dell?Abbondanza, da donazioni private e dai proventi delle prime soppressioni ecclesiastiche, con un contributo di papa Benedetto XIV.
