A Benedictine monastery founded in 1089 as Micklegate Priory by Ralph Paynel, and dedicated to the Holy Trinity, this is now a Grade I listed parish church in York.Illustrated with a coloured frontispiece and thirty-four full page plates of illustrations. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's paper vellum binding with titles in gilt to spine and front board.
