Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. Ed Borein (illustrator). 1st Edition. In 1950 (five years after Ed Borein died), a group of his friends got together and published, by way of a memorial, a limited edition book of his watercolors and etchings. "Ed Borein's West" features another side of this great Western artist's talent - sketches in pen & ink or pencil. There's a color frontispiece portrait of the artist, a long Foreword, and hundreds of these quick sketches of horses, horsemen, and steers. This copy has a few small spots here and there, but is near fine with a bookseller's label on front pastedown. The dust jacket is pretty lousy. A little browned, stained, creased and worn, with the front flap holding onto the front panel by just a couple of inches. But it is complete and doesn't look too horrid behind the acetate.
