Wurde vor allem als Verfasser der humoristisch-satirischen Wiener Spaziergänge (6 Bände, 1869-86), die zuerst in der Presse, dann in der Deutschen Zeitung, ab 1873 in der Neuen Freien Presse erschienen, deren Redaktionsmitglied er war, bekannt.
