The begining chapters deal with the GUn, and gernal shooting hints, clothing & equipment. The book begins with a dedication to the Prince of Wales and ends with an index to First Aid and Shooting accidents. There are tips on how to safely hold a gun and the etiquette of the shoot: "Try not to talk until at least after the first bird is shot and the birds can be scared off by human speech"; how to deal with being placed in shooting position next to who previosuly had a shooting accident; how and when to tip; how and when to bring your own dog.
