This scarce book is in near fine condition, fine but for an owner name in black ink at the top 0f the first glued down end paper, with a near fine dust jacket. This is the thirteenth printing of a book originally published in 1957. Drawings are by Wadym Dobrolige. This title was initiated by the Ukrainian Women's Association of Canada as a national organization project. Akin to community cookbook, this one is full of cherished family recipes from Ukrainian kitchens. The measurements and directions have been standardized and modernized as to be adaptable for Canadian, and American kitchens. Contributions from good cooks across Canada ha also been carefully chosen and added, with the names of the contributors. Part of the introduction to each section include interesting tidbits about Ukrainian customs, traditions and celebrations unique to the Ukrainian people. There are 20 sections for all different types of recipes and two sections of special holiday recipes.
