Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - In this poignant yet humorous exploration of life's complexities, author Steve Repko reflects on a childhood shaped by tragedy and resilience. With little guidance, he learned to navigate life on his own, transforming bitterness into a treasure trove of memories that inform his writing. The story unfolds through the lens of a fictional cynic, a character who critiques the medical profession, politics, and societal norms, embodying the author's sharp wit and keen observations. While the characters are fictionalized, their essence is rooted in real experiences, inviting readers to reflect on truth, pretense, and the often-unspoken cynicism that colors our lives. With a blend of humor and authenticity, this book challenges readers to confront the uncomfortable truths we all face, reminding us that while the world may seem overwhelmingly kind on the surface, it's the cynics who often provide the most honest perspectives.About the AuthorLike two of his earlier novels, 'Old George's Gold' and 'The Bones of Beacon Hill', the author Steve Repko includes numerous actual events in 'There Is No Truth' from the fond memories of the early years of his life. However, his warped sense of humor dominates the story that is told to him by a fictitious crabby ninety- year-old cynic who criticizes everything he experienced in his life.…
