Softcover. White stapled wraps with black text. 12 unnumbered pages. 1 Color illustration and many bw illustrations. "Will Henry Stevens was born in Vevay, Indiana, in 1881. Unlike many of his contemporaries who traveled and studied in the Art Centers of Europe, Stevens never felt the need to leave the United States. He began by painting the hills and valleys along the Ohio River near Vevay. As he moved South he painted the mountains of Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina. Later in New Orleans he painted the Bayou Country in Louisiana, but it was the mountains and their people that made the biggest impact and continued to dominate his work for his entire life." Good (some minor shelfwear, stain on back cover, continues onto inner page edges but is slight).
