Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - This book is written by a person with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome. It is written openly and honestly through the mediums of memoir and insight. It gives the reader an in-depth glimpse into the feelings and emotions experienced by a person with a disability trying to navigate their way through a world of people without special needs, Most times, people in general, don't bother to take the time to have meaningful contact with or get to know a person who is 'different' from the norm in their social interactions. It is difficult enough for people on the Autism spectrum, whether high functioning of not, to wend their way through this world intricacies and nuances and have meaningful relationships. They have aspirations, wants, needs, desires like any human being has. I hope after reading this book of insightful poetry the reader will have a greater understanding of what Autistic people feel deep inside their heart and soul. Take the time to hear their 'silent meow'. ~ Candice James, Poet Laureate Emerita, New Westminster, BC CANADA.…

Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - T K Torme suffers from Asperger's Syndrome but she was not diagnosed for many years and subsequently she suffered a great deal of trauma being misunderstood in her younger formative years. This book of over 275 haiku poems is a poignant look into the deep and personal spirituality and emotions of the poet. The misunderstandings and feelings of exclusion T K experienced in her younger years continue to challenge her as an adult as she still struggles with Asperger's Syndrome. T K finds the rosary to be her best, and only friend when she is mired in loneliness and just wanting what everyone else wants: to be liked and included. 'Ite Missa Est' is a religious and spiritual book concentrating on the soothing closeness to God she feels when praying to the rosary. T K Torme uses her God given talents to express how a marginalized person is able to cope with the challenges they are faced with when they have a strong commitment to God and their religion. This commitment elevates their spirituality so they are able to face all challenges that come their way. The rosary is both elemental in and essential to T K's well being inlife.T K Torme, through her own personal lens, takes us into her spiritual world which is the world of a person that has Asperger's Syndrome, and unable to communicate easily with the non Asperger's surroundings she finds herself often immersed in. T K Torme is a good Catholic and a fine child of God and this book is a lovely offering filled with grace that she has given to the world.I highly recommend this book to everyone so they may better understand people with Asperger's who are not born with the social skills or given the social opportunities to connect with people easily and many times end up being unnecessarily marginalized by society at large. They have much to offer and the better the world understands them the greater endowed the world will be.…
