Embssd ribbd navy-blue cloth, gilt lettrng on spine (mnr shlfwr, some wear & bmpng to crnrs, mnr wear & fryng hd of spine, couple leaves w/ mnr creasng on endpapers), still VG- copy. First edition of this tremendous wartime reference work for the Merchant Marine fleets, which had been entirely changed over for this volume to reflect the impact of the war. All the line drawings are grouped together regardless of country because colouring had little value during the War because most were painted gray, 100s of additional funnel designs had been included, and one comprehensive index.
