Hard Cover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good. First Edition. Pink cloth with black lettered spine , in yellow dustjacket with black lettering and red decorated border192 pages.5 X7.75 inches.this is from the dustjacket blurb: "This anthology is unique in that it is not an antholgoy of 'war poems', but a collection of the best poems written since the begining of the war-- some of which are also "war poems". While some well known poets such as Herbert Read, Stephen Spender and George Baker are represented, the majority are members of a younger generation not yet known to the general public. Most of them have contributed to Mr. Rambimuttu's magazine, but there are here many poems which have not before appeared in print. The reader will, we think, be surprised and excited to discover the vitality and the novelty of the poetry of recent years".-- also included poetry of W.H.Auden, Richard Church, Lawrence Durrell, Gavin Ewart, J.F.Hendry, Laurie Lee, C.Day Lewis, Kathleen Raine, Dylan Thomas, Mervyn Peake and others. Very good book, top edge a little dustsoiled in a good dustwrapper with some edge wear, and loss to head of the spine, 6s net price unclipped.
