Ketamine gel also is safe to be used topically and not irritant according to the skin irritation test, because the mean value of skin irritation index (SII) for erythema and edema was found to be zero after applied of ketamine gel in different concentrations.A significant analgesic effect of ketamine gel in humans was induced by the test formulation containing 0.5% ketamine gel and the percentages of non, mild, moderate and severe pain were (46.4, 32.1, 17.9 and 3.6)%,respectively. It was concluded from this study that a pure ketamine powder can be prepared and could be of value when used as gel through topical application in relieving pain.…

Les résultats ont démontré que la kétamine purifiée était pure selon les analyses IR, UV, CHN et la mesure du point de fusion. Le gel de kétamine peut également être utilisé en application topique en toute sécurité et ne présente pas d'effet irritant selon le test d'irritation cutanée, car la valeur moyenne de l'indice d'irritation cutanée (SII) pour l'érythème et l'oedème s'est avérée nulle après l'application du gel de kétamine à différentes concentrations. Un effet analgésique significatif du gel de kétamine chez l'homme a été induit par la formulation testée contenant 0,5 % de gel de kétamine, et les pourcentages de douleur nulle, légère, modérée et sévère étaient respectivement de (46,4, 32,1, 17,9 et 3,6) %. I risultati hanno dimostrato che la ketamina purificata era pura in base alle analisi IR, UV, CHN e al punto di fusione. Il gel di ketamina è inoltre sicuro per l'uso topico e non irritante secondo il test di irritazione cutanea, poiché il valore medio dell'indice di irritazione cutanea (SII) per eritema ed edema è risultato pari a zero dopo l'applicazione del gel di ketamina in diverse concentrazioni.
