First edition, first printing. Publisher's original blue cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. Illustrated with 11 drawings in black and white by R. A. Brandt. A near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth bright and fresh. The contents, with light spotting to the endpapers and top edge of the closed text block, are otherwise clean throughout and without inscriptions or stamps. Complete with the lightly rubbed and creased dustwrapper that is a touch faded to the spine and otherwise without loss or tears. Not price-clipped (15s on the front flap). A children's poetry collection about the often unsettling lives of the strange inhabitants of the moon. 3000 copies of the first edition were printed. (Sagar & Tabor A7).
