The translator's preface is initialled "W.M.T." - William M.…Thomson, who also translated other works by the author published by Temple. The translation is apparently of dubious quality but this small volume in the "After Dinner Series" is uncommon, certainly so institutionally with only a small handful traced in libraries around the world.
