At four of the corners the leather has been rubbed away altogether. Although the gilt titling is still vibrant the leather is worn and rubbed esp to the extremities. Plain ochre endpapers. 910pp with many pages struck through with blue pencil. Revised translation commissioned by Sir Alfred Milner.
