G Wells "The War of the Worlds", published only a few months after Well's Science Fiction classic, this humorous novel with the invasion of the Earth by Women from Venus figured in Locke Spectrum of fantasy & Bleiler Checklist of fantastic Literature the book is bound in the original pictorial wrappers, 140pp, plus publishers averts, the front cover is chipped with loss with some splits and creases, with a small booksellers label to top edge, the spine has an old tape repair (see pictures) internally old handwritten notes to half title page which could easily be erased if desired, light browning to page edges else contents in good condition.
