"L'Agricoltore Sperimentato" or "The Experienced Farmer" was originally printed in Lucca in 1726 and is considered to be his masterpiece. For over a hundred years, this work was widely used as a guide by farmers who held Trinci in high esteem.

"Nel 1769 Antonio Genovesi non esito' a trasformarsi in editore de…ll'opera del pistoiese Cosimo Trinci, 'L'agricoltore sperimentato', gia' pubblicata a Lucca nel 1726, corredandola di un'ampia prefazione, nella quale Genovesi osservava che se il Regno di Napoli era largamente spopolato e soffriva frequenti carestie, questo avveniva per la rozzezza e la debolezza dell'agricoltura, senza molte cognizioni ed un forte stimolo che la spinga" (Luigi De Rosa, "Conflitti e squilibri nel Mezzogiorno tra Cinque e Ottocento", 1999, p. 50). Nell'opera Trinci analizza la viticoltura, enumerando le moltissime varieta' d'uva nei primi 33 capitoli del libro, la coltivazione del gelso, degli ulivi, delle pere, dei castagni, dei ciliegi, degli agrumi, dei cocomeri, ecc.
