The brochure is in Very Good+ condition and was issued without a dust jacket. There is some very light bumping and rubbing to the spine ends and corners of the brochure. The text pages are clean and bright. The contents show all the many areas technology that TRW worked on. "TRW Inc. , or Thompson Ramo Wooldridge Inc. , was an American corporation involved in a variety of businesses, mainly aerospace, electronics, automotive, and credit reporting. The company was founded in 1901 and lasted for just over a century until being acquired by Northrop Grumman in 2002. It spawned a variety of corporations, including Pacific Semiconductors, The Aerospace Corporation, Bunker-Ramo and Experian. TRW was instrumental in the development of American spacecraft during the Space Race, including Pioneer 1, Pioneer 10, and Apollo. TRW also played a significant role in the defense industry, leading the development of the United States' first ICBM and later the Titan missile. The corporation was listed as #57 on the 1986 Fortune 500 list, and had 122,258 employees in 2000. " (from Wikipedia).

Print/Graphic. Zustand: Good. Phil Weisgerber (illustrator). 1 sheet (approximately 10 inches by 13.5 inches). Poster's nice color image shows wear, has one inch+ long tear and other minor edge tears, wrinkling and scratches. Text on one side and illustration on the other side showing 'the ultimate design of the Space Station, which was to be built in two phases. No date but produced when James Fletcher was the Director of NASA. Dr. Fletcher served as the 4th and 7th Administrator of NASA, first from April 27, 1971 to May 1, 1977, under President Richard M. Nixon, and again from May 12, 1986 to April 8, 1989, under President Ronald Reagan. This item is likely from the second period of service, as the text addresses what to expect in the 1990s. NASA formed a Space Station Task Force in May 1982 to study possible user requirements. In August 1992, NASA awarded eight $1-million study contracts including one to TRW. TRW further developed its earlier Science and Applications Manned Space Platform concept under the NASA contract. TRW's large 10-12 man space station for the year 2000 could serve as a 'space harbor' for the assembly of large spacecraft. Like the other contractors, TRW assumed the space station would grow and evolve gradually as more funding becomes available. The International Space Station (ISS) is a space station, or a habitable artificial satellite, in low Earth orbit. Its first component launched into orbit in 1998, the last pressurized module was fitted in 2011, and the station is expected to operate until 2028. Development and assembly of the station continues, with components scheduled for launch in 2018 and 2019. The ISS is the largest human-made body in low Earth orbit and can often be seen with the naked eye from Earth. The ISS consists of pressurized modules, external trusses, solar arrays, and other components. ISS components have been launched by Russian Proton and Soyuz rockets, and American Space Shuttles. The ISS is the ninth space station to be inhabited by crews, following the Soviet and later Russian Salyut, Almaz, and Mir stations as well as Skylab from the US. The station has been continuously occupied for 17 years and 242 days since the arrival of Expedition 1 on 2 November 2000. Presumed First Edition, First printing thus.
