It is a softcover string binding which measures approximately 3 5/8 inches by 2 1/4 inches. The covers only have some very minor soiling. The interior pages are nice and clean with a tiny wrinkle to the top margin of some of the pages. The book is undated but is circa 1856-1866.…

Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. No Jacket. I am pleased to offer: "Pictures and Stories from American History" by Uncle Ned for His Young Friends. I was unable to find any copies of this book online, not even print-on-demand versions. What were available are matted copies of the chromolithograph full-color plates from this book. I found a few being offered on the book trading sites, at about $20-25 each. This book contains 24 of these plates (by my count) and all still in very good condition. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers show a good deal of edge wear and bumping to the corners and some light soiling. Inside, the book is unmarked and the chromolithogaph plates are in generally good plus condition (please see the photos). There are some instances of random soiling, spots and specks, not abundant and none extreme, throughout the book. The hinges have been reinforced with librarians' tape and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.…
