Written with compassion and sensitivity, Arthur's stories articulated the values and ideals associated with "respectable middle class" life in America. Several publishing firms have printed books by Timothy Shay Arthur 's pseudonym "Uncle Herbert," but Lippincott was his publisher during his lifetime. Found no copies listed in OCLC or LC or AAS.
