Soft cover. Zustand: Very Good. First Edition By This Publisher.. 160 pages. "Claire Dale, a nurse at St. Julian's Hosital, was in love with Chris Long, a surgeon there, and he in love with her - or so she thought. When she saw him kissing Lucille Gray, Claire knew that she could no longer go on working at the same hospital and so the suggestion of Sir Charles Hague, principal gynaecologist, that she might like to become a district nurse at Charnworth, in Kent, was very welcome. One look at the village and the cottage she was to have convinced her that she had made the right decision. As Claire and Mavis, Sir Charles's niece, were driving over to visit a friend, a small, red sportscar overtook them and crashed. The occupant, Terence Anderson, was injured and Claire soon arranged for him to go into hospital. Life in the village settled into a routine. But then Chris arrived, full of apology and bent on seeing her. In the meantime, Claire had renewed her friendship with Terence. Would Chris's charm have its effect or had he arrived too late? The attractive country settings and the sympathetic characters make The Village Nurse an appealing and intriguing story." >>> Name in pen on first page. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" Tall.
