The book is a work showing the picturesque scenes of India, compiled by Reverend William Urwick the Younger and provides insight into India as it was during the British Empire. There is a chapter which each focuses on the cities of the country. Additional features is an illustrated frontispiece, vignette title page, sixteen plates, and many full-paged and in-text illustrations throughout.
